As the Director of Corporate Relations, I endeavor to help companies, big and small, to see the value in working with the 911 Cell Phone Bank. These partnerships help enhance each company’s standing in the community by 1) helping those in need of assistance, 2) responsibly recycling e-waste, and 3) by protecting the community’s privacy through secure data erasure. Each of these points can be reflected in their Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Social Guidance reports.

I truly appreciate the value of having one’s privacy guarded and do my utmost to help companies protect their guests, employees, and visitors from data breaches.

What a beautiful privilege it has been to work with such an amazing non-profit organization. When handling sensitive material like human trafficking and domestic violence, you try and find the balance of keeping it real while also maintaining hope and positivity around your message. It’s been a treat to oversee our direct mail items, social media posts, monthly newsletters, blog posts, marketing articles, partnership opportunities, and everything in between. It has been immensely rewarding to help people not only become aware of just how pervasive these issues are in this country, but also to help them see that they can do something to help and be part of the change. This is why I love our message: Together we save lives…one electronic device at a time.

In my position, I am the unofficial “first responder” to requests for information for anyone who calls our toll-free number or uses our e-mail address to contact us. I have been with the 911 Cell Phone Bank since its inception and am proud to have played a small part in the growth of our programs. Throughout the years I have worked successfully with national accounts, and in my current assignment I am working to establish a corporate donor program. In addition, I help to coordinate multi-agency ‘Phone It Forward’ cellphone collection drives.

I began my role here at 911CPB to give particular attention to the ever-growing hospitality and tourism industry in Central Florida. Little did I know that I would have the privilege to work with so many people who are genuinely supportive of making sure that the devices left behind unclaimed are donated to us. I’ve been astounded at the level of awareness and motivation to partner with us in our mission of helping victims of human trafficking and domestic violence.

Our team here never fails to give me the encouragement that I need so I can work remotely and highlight our program in and around Orlando and Tampa Bay. I’ve had the privilege to network with so many professionals who go to bat for our unique way of repurposing devices rather than simply recycling/disposing of every single one. We really go that extra mile since we have a village of advocates out there. It’s been a truly satisfying journey thus far!

I have the privilege of working with many different businesses around the nation that donate phones and other small electronics to our program. Their generosity and kindness, as well as the environmental and social responsibility that they show never fails to touch my heart! I provide shipping labels, schedule pickups, and make sure to give our supporters all the documentation that they need for their donations.

I also work with many law enforcement agencies, victim advocacy organizations, and shelters by verifying their phone needs and activating phones as needed. It is a satisfying job helping some of our most vulnerable citizens in this small way. The response I get reminds me that these phones truly are a lifeline to help people get back to safety and a sense of normalcy.

Working with the 911 Cell Phone Bank is so rewarding. I come from a background in retail management helping customers, and now I’m able to work with a non-profit that helps victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. I team up with companies and corporations to provide emergency phones to shelters and law enforcement agencies across the country so that victims can have a communication lifeline and feel safe. This allows them to get needed help right away, and these phones will help them to rebuild a life for themselves. My greatest reward is to help others. I feel so blessed and honored to do so.

My job with the 911 Cell Phone Bank is to give outstanding customer service to all our supporters and potential upcoming clients. I strive to provide advice and information to make it an easy transition. I also provide supplies as needed to help to donate to our program.

With over 10 years in customer service, I am here to help and am willing to do whatever is necessary to take a load off of someone’s plate. Caring for clients’ needs in the various businesses I deal with is so interesting to me! I love chit-chatting with ones across the country – as a Florida girl I love talking about the variety of weather & especially love hearing about your crazy animal antics!

• Bruno the Wonder Dog, Ambassador for Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention

Bruno is an eight-year-old Olde English Bulldogge who serves as our unofficial mascot here at the 911 Cell Phone Bank! He is oftentimes at Clarice Renee’s side during conventions and expos and LOVES attention! If you see him, please come and say “Hi!” He’ll be disappointed if you don’t!
